Virginia house fire

Monday, February 5 at 4:40pm:

Just after 2pm CFS crews were called to a house fire on Gawler Road, Virginia.

On arrival the home was completely involved in fire and soon after the six crews arrived, the roof collapsed.

Crews were able to stop the fire spreading to other nearby assets. The estimated damage bill is approximately $250,000.

The occupants were home at the time of the fire but all evacuated the house, and SA Ambulance is assisting in their treatment. A firefighter is also being monitored for heat exhaustion. 

The cause of the fire is believed to be children playing with matches.
