Truck rollover and Hazmat Incident Barrier Highway, Manoora

At around 2.30pm this afternoon, the CFS were alerted to a semi-trailer rollover incident around 8kms north of Manoora on the Barrier Highway.

Upon arrival, CFS volunteers found a chemical spill of around 600 litres and called in CFS Hazmat operators to manage, secure the scene and stop the leak from the rear trailer.

Local CFS crews were assisted by the Dalkeith, Clare and Nurioopta brigades.

CFS crews were supported by SAPOL in managing traffic to allow a safe handover to the haulage company who arrived on scene to hand over and recover the truck and undertake environmental clean-up.
