Truck fire at St Ives - 8 July 2026

Six CFS trucks carrying 24 firefighters responded to a Triple Zero call to attend a truck fire at 1:15am on the SE Freeway, at St Ives, approximately 13 kilometres east of Mount Barker.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the trailer, which was transporting pallets, on fire.

The driver had evacuated and the prime mover had been disconnected.

The damages are estimated at $70,000.

SA Police attended and provided support on scene. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours to ensure the fire was extinguished.
