Structure Fire at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills (19-Aug-19)

 

At just after 5.30 this morning, the  SA Country Fire Service responded to reports of a shed fire at WILLIAM STREET, Woodside in the Adelaide Hills.

On arrival, firefighters found two sheds well involved in fire and the fire had spread to a nearby house.

12 firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, worked quickly to protect the home and neighbouring properties are were able to stop the spread of fire into the home, containing it only to the lean-to.

Seven fire crews at the scene, worked for an hour to also extinguish the flames burning in the two sheds, with crews still at the scene working to extinguish flames in one of the sheds, which contained wood.

Two sheds, two cars and a lean-to have been impacted by the fire and the damage bill is estimated at $140,000.

FCI will be attending the scene this morning to try and establish the cause of the fire.
