Structure fire at Glossop - 8 March 2024

A fire has engulfed a paint shop belonging to a tool manufacturing business on McKay Road in Glossop in the state’s Riverland.

The CFS was first notified of the fire at around 1 o’clock this morning and sent five trucks with the support of the MFS who sent another five.

The 50 firefighters worked hard to contain the fire to the large paint shed and prevented further damage to the rest of the business.

Thankfully, no one was at the premises and no injuries have been reported.

The damage bill is estimated at between $300,000 and $350,000.

Fire cause investigators will attend the site in the morning to try and determine the exact cause.
