Structure fire at Finnis

At around 1.54am this morning CFS crews were alerted to a structure fire at Finnis.

Five CFS fire trucks, one bulk water carrier and 30 volunteer firefighters attended and upon arrival found the dwelling fully engulfed in flames.

The building, previously a shearing shed, was undergoing renovations to become a dwelling and suffered substantial damage. Fortunately due to the quick actions from fire crews they were able to contain the fire quickly.

Estimated damages is $150,000 and is believed that the fire started in the fuse box and is not suspicious.
