Structure fire at Belair - October 26

Thursday, October 26 at 3pm:

At about 2.30 this afternoon CFS and MFS crews were called to a structure fire on Sheoak Road, Belair.

The fire started in the basement of the three storey home. The three CFS and two MFS crews worked well to contain the fire to the basement, which was destroyed. The remainder of the house is smoke damaged.

The approximate damage bill is $500,000.

The occupants weren’t home at the time of the fire and the cause is currently unknown but fire cause investigators have been notified.
