Smoke Alarms Save Family from House Fire at Angas Plains

At just after 11.30pm on Thursday 12 July 2018, the CFS were responded to a house fire at Davidson Road, Angas Plains which is near Langhorne Creek.

On arrival, firefighters found the single storey home was fully involved in fire.

A mother and her four children were woken by smoke alarms and were able to escape the blaze uninjured.

Although 20 firefighters worked  for almost an hour to contain the fire, the home was unable to be saved.

The fire started in the lounge room and was caused by a slow combustion heater.

The damage bill is estimated at between $300,000 and $360,000.
