Shed fire at Strathalbyn - 21 November 2023
Woodworkers have safely evacuated a shed being used as a workshop on Milnes Road, Strathalbyn after the dust extractor inside the structure caught alight.
5 CFS crews have contained the blaze, which extended to the rest of the shed, in under an hour. Firefighters were able to gain access inside the shed and used internal attack methods of containment. The total estimated damage cost was $70,000.
No injuries are reported and SAAS are on scene supporting. The fire is not suspicious and fire investigators have been advised.
