Shed fire at Nairne - 28 September 2026

Seven trucks carrying approximately 35 firefighters responded to an 11:48pm Triple Zero telephone call from the property owners to attend a fire on a farm on Little Dublin East Road at Nairne in the state’s Adelaide Hills.

Upon arrival at the property, CFS volunteers found a shed containing farming machinery and implements, including cars and fuel, on fire.

Firefighters using breathing apparatus took 60 minutes to contain the fire, their good work preventing it from spreading to the house located five metres away from the shed.

Damage to the shed and its contents is estimated at approximately $400,000.

SA Ambulance Service, SA Police and SA Power Networks provided support to CFS firefighters.

A cause has not been determined and will be investigated.

Firefighters remain on scene to ensure the property is made safe.
