Restaurant fire at Hahndorf - 28 April 2026

Twelve CFS trucks and multiple command vehicles carrying approximately 70 firefighters responded to Triple Zero to attend a structure fire at 8.30pm on Main Street in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills.

Upon arrival firefighters found a restaurant fully alight.

The restaurant was closed so nobody was on site at the time of the fire starting.

CFS volunteers, with the support of the SA Metropolitan Fire Service, have controlled the fire and will remain on scene for several hours yet to ensure it is fully extinguished.

Damage to the building is estimated at being upwards of $2 million.

Thankfully, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.

SA Ambulance Service and SA Police were also present to provide support.
