Port Willunga kitchen fire 24 October
Tuesday October 24 at 5.35pm:
Just before 5pm CFS was called to a kitchen fire at Desoto Drive, Port Willunga.
The fire started in the kitchen, caused by cooking oil and was spreading quickly when fire crews arrived.
The 20 firefighters worked quickly and managed to save the property.
The kitchen was destroyed and the rest of the home is severely smoke logged.
The damage bill is between $80,000 and $100,000.
Residents were home at the time of the fire but escaped without injury.
