Lobethal: House fire 16 Jan 2018
At 3:06pm this afternoon CFS units were dispatched to a location on Woodside Road in Lobethal after we received a 000 call reporting smoke coming from inside the roof of a home.
CFS crews from Lobethal, Lenswood, Woodside, Oakbank and Basket Range arrived to find a fire burning in the roof cavity.
Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the home and were able to stop the spread of the fire but are still onsite attempting to extinguish flames in the ceiling.
Damages are expected to exceed $60,000.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
