Lameroo house fire

At 2:37 this afternoon the CFS was alerted to flames and smoke seen at a dwelling on Mulpata Road, north west of Lameroo, via a triple 0 call from a neighbour.
Crews arrived to find a house and a granny flat on fire.
In total four CFS fire trucks and a bulk water carrier attended the fire, with approximately 22 firefighters attempting to contain the fire.
Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the surrounding area, but both buildings were destroyed.
Both buildings were unoccupied at the time crews arrived, though the granny flat is believed to be a place of residence.
Total losses are estimated to be more than $200,000.
At this stage the fire cause is undetermined, with fire cause investigators attending the scene tonight.
