House Fire at Woodside (22 June 2019)

At lunch time today, 10 CFS firefighters responded to a notification of a house fire at Landara Road, Woodside.

On arrival, crews found that the occupants of the two-storey home had been able to extinguish the fire themselves. One occupant was treated by SA Ambulance for minor smoke inhalation.

The fire, caused by ash from a combustion heater in a metal bucket on a lino floor. While damage from the fire is minimal, the home has sustained considerable smoke damage.

The estimated damage bill is considered to be $100k.
