House fire at Tarlee - 29 May 2020

Update on Friday, May 29 at 5:50pm:

About 3:45 this afternoon CFS crews were alerted to a fire on Craig Street, Tarlee in the Mid North.

A concerned neighbour heard an explosion and reported the fire which spread to the other areas of the house.

Thankfully, the occupants were not at home at the time of the fire.

Despite the nine CFS crews on scene trying to control the fire, the house was destroyed and the estimated damage is approximately $100,000.

The cause of the fire is unknown and Fire Cause Investigators will be attending.

Crews will be on scene for some time mopping up the scene.
