House fire at Rosetown in the Southeast 14 April 2018

At 8:47 last night (14 April) the CFS was alerted to a housefire via multiple calls to triple zero.

Crews arrived to find the rear of a fibro home fully alight.

Multiple calls we also placed to triple zero about a male being seen entering the home to attempt to put out the fire, but not seen exiting.

In total four fire trucks and two bulk water carriers attended the fire, with approximately 30 firefighters defending local properties and attempting to extinguish the home.

Three surrounding homes and several smaller structures were protected from the fire.

The home was fully destroyed, with damages estimated at $175,000.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the remains of the home for any sign of the male who was reported entering the property.

No signs were found, with the man later being located by South Australian Police.

Fire cause investigators will be on scene this morning to confirm the cause of the fire.
