House fire at Mount Bryan

At 10:00pm last night the CFS was alerted by neighbours to a fire in a home at Kellett Road, Mt Bryan.

Crews arrived to find the timber home alight.

In total four CFS fire trucks and a bulk water carrier attended, with approximately 20 volunteer firefighters attempting to extinguish the fire.

Crews were able to protect surrounding properties, but the timber home was completely destroyed by the fire.

The damage value has been estimated at $150,000 to $200,000.

Owners of the home are currently out of town.

Crews will remain on scene through the morning, with fire cause investigators to confirm the cause of the fire later today.
