House fire at Gladstone - 30 September 2026

Four trucks carrying approximately 20 volunteer firefighters responded to Triple Zero just before 6.30 pm to attend a structure fire at Gladstone in SA’s Mid North.

Upon arrival CFS firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the roof of a house.

The occupants weren’t home at the time but arrived while firefighters were trying to contain the fire.

Firefighters entered the house wearing breathing apparatus and extinguished the fire within half an hour.

Although firefighters did an excellent job to prevent the fire spreading from its starting point in the kitchen, the home was significantly smoke damaged.

Damage to the property is estimated at $100,000.

Fire Investigators have been asked to attend.
