House Fire at Bordertown- 28 July, 2020

Just before 2pm this afternoon, CFS Crews were called to a house fire on English Street at Bordertown in the State’s Upper South East.

Around 16 CFS volunteer firefighters, on four trucks, attended the fire with other emergency service support provided by SA Ambulance and SAPOL personnel.

Crews arrived to find house well alight and implemented a range of firefighting strategies which limited the damage within the house, and stopped it from spreading to adjoining properties.

Fortunately no one was home at the time.

The fire is believed to have started in a front room, and fire cause investigators will be attending to determine the cause later today. It is estimated that the damage caused by the fire is around $190k.
