House and carport fire at Tailem Bend 11 July 2019

At 12:09 today the CFS received several 000 calls regarding a house fire at Kulde Street, Tailem Bend.

Four CFS and two MFS crews responded, arriving to find a single-storey fibro home and carport on fire.

Crews were able to restrict the blaze to the property, but both home and carport were destroyed by the fire.

A large amount of smoke can be seen in the area coming from this fire, with members of the public advised to avoid the area.

Fire Cause Investigators will attend the scene to determine the cause, with damages estimated to be approximately $150,000.
