Hay shed fire at Ashbourne - 26 February 2022
At 11:30 this afternoon CFS crews were alerted to a fire in a hay shed on Bullcreek road at Ashbourne.
About 40 volunteers are on scene working to extinguish the fire, with the assistance of Forestry SA crews.
The fire has destroyed a 15x50m shed, containing a tractor and 22 round bales of hay. SA Ambulance crews and SAPOL are also on scene.
Losses are estimated to be around $150,000, with the cause of the fire unknown.
Crews are expected to be working in the area for several hours, the community are asked to avoid the area if possible.
