Grass Fire in Paechtown - 6 February 2022
At 10:30 this morning, CFS were alerted to a grass fire at Yantaringa Road, in Paechtown between Hahndorf and Echunga in the Adelaide Hills.
75 personnel alongside 12 tankers, 3 bulk water carriers, 1 pumper supported by 4 fixed wing firebombers and a heavy lift helicopter worked to contain the fire, preventing loss to nearby properties.
12 hectares was grass and scrub was burnt and ground crews will remain on scene throughout the afternoon and evening to monitor and extinguished hot spots throughout the scrub.
