Grass Fire Causes $1.2mil Damage to Farming Machinery Near Cummins - 18 December 2021

 

At 03h00PM on Saturday afternoon, 18 December 2021, the CFS was alerted to a grass fire near Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula.


CFS firefighters responded with 9 firefighting vehicles and 1 bulk water carrier. Further, 4 aerial firebombers were deployed to the incident.


The fire caused $1.2 million damage to farming machinery before it was contained. The cause of the fire is unknown.
