Grass fire at Reedy Creek - January 27, 2023
Just before midnight on January 27th, crews were alerted to a grass fire at Reedy Creek, near Kingston.
13 trucks and 50 volunteers attended the fire, working through the night supported by Farm Fire Units. 96 hectares have burnt after birdlife flying into powerlines sparked the fire. 200 hay bales are at the centre of the large fireground.
The fire is going however is now contained. Crews will remain on the scene until it is safe to leave.
