Fire Destroys Shed Mount Compass

SA Country Fire Service Firefighters are currently on scene at a shed fire at Mount Compass in the Adelaide Hills this evening.

Initial crews responded to reports of a fire in a shed on Alexander Court just before 8:30pm this evening and on arrival found the shed fully alight.

More than 45 firefighters from 7 appliances and 3 bulk water carriers were responded to the fire and have undertaken external firefighting techniques to control the fire.

The shed, which measures 15m x 15m contained a number of vehicles including cars and buses, has been fully destroyed with an early total dollar damage estimate being set at $100 000.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, Fire Cause Investigators from SA Police have been requested and will be on scene tomorrow morning. 

Crews will remain on scene for some time ensuring that the fire is fully extingushed. No injuries have been reported.
