Commercial structure fire at Virginia - 26 July 2026
Approximately 60 SA Country Fire Service (CFS) firefighters with 20 trucks responded to a commercial structure fire at Virginia at 9:40 pm on Sunday 26 July.
Supported by the SA Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS), SA Ambulance Service, SA Police and SA Power Networks, crews worked to extinguish a fire in a large industrial building on Old Port Wakefield Road.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked for several hours to contain the fire and protect neighbouring properties.
Crews remain on scene this morning extinguishing hot spots and monitoring the site for signs of reignition.
Damage is estimated to exceed $1 million. Fire Investigators will attend the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
