Commercial structure fire at Beachport - 5 May 2026

At 7:30 pm, CFS volunteer firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire at Beachport, in the state’s Limestone Coast.

Around 25 volunteer firefighters on 6 trucks and one command vehicle attended, working in a coordinated response with SA Ambulance Service, SA Police and SA Power Networks.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews worked to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby boats in the yard.

While the building was a complete loss, with damages estimated at $350,000, their quick actions helped protect surrounding assets.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Fire Investigators will attend.
