At 3:30 this afternoon, 9 CFS crews including 7 trucks, 2 bulk water carriers and 3 command vehicles were alerted to a car fire at Crows Nest Road in Port Elliot. Upon arrival, the fire had spread to a nearby grass paddock but was quickly contained with the assistance of 2 firebomber drops. The fire burnt 2 hectares in size and no other assets were threatened due to the quick response of CFS crews.
