$70,000 structure fire at Munno Para West - 11 April 2023
Shortly after 9:45am, CFS crews were called to a structure fire on Sarah Candice Court, Munno Para West.
Five CFS trucks, supported by three MFS trucks attended the scene, to find the front three rooms of the house fully alight. With the quick efforts from firefighters, they contained the fire before it spread through the remainder of the house.
Although losses are estimated at $70,000, over $200,000 of property has been saved, including a classic car. The owner of the property managed to evacuate safely and was not injured.
The cause of the fire is believed to have started by an electrical fault with the lighting in the house.
