$300,000 house fire at Swanport - 6 June 2023
Emergency services were called to a fire in a home at Swanport, near Murray Bridge just before 6:30pm this evening. CFS and MFS firefighters arrived to find the house on Swan Portvillage Road alight and the fire spreading to the roof.
6 CFS crews and 2 MFS crews worked together to contain the fire to a portion of the house. However, there has been significant smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.
Total losses are expected to be approximately $300,000.
The residents were home at the time of the fire but managed to safely evacuate without injury.
Firefighters were supported by SA Ambulance Service, SA Police and SA Power Networks.
Fire cause investigators are expected to arrive on scene tonight.
