$250,000 Structure Fire at Smoky Bay - 12th May 2023
Early this afternoon CFS crews were called to attend a structure fire at Smoky Bay, on the West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula.
Upon arrival it was found that a group of four sheds were fully involved in fire, the combined contents including two vehicles and a caravan. It is believed the structure and contents are a total loss valued in excess of $250,000.
Four CFS fire trucks are currently in attendance extinguishing the fire with the support of SA Police and fire cause investigators will be called to attend.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported and there are no neighbouring assets at risk. A smoke advice message has been issued by the CFS to alert surrounding communities.
Firefighters will remain on the scene until the fire is controlled and the area is made safe.
