$250,000 Refrigerated Truck Fire - 28 February, 2023
At 3:30 this morning, CFS crews responded to a truck fire 1km north of Coonalpyn on the Dukes Highway, in South Australia’s South East.
Three CFS trucks arrived to find one of the B-Doubles refrigerated trailers alight.
Quick thinking by the driver, who had uncoupled the trailer that was on fire, helped to save the remaining truck and trailer.
CFS volunteers were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Total estimated damage cost is $250,000 with one trailer and its contents of frozen foods being lost.
