$200,000 shed fire at Mundulla - 08 January 2023
Just before 6:00am this morning CFS crews were alerted to a fire on a property on Sidings Road, Mundulla.
Four CFS trucks including a Bulk Water Carrier arrived to find a large shed, containing hay bales and farming machinery on fire.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the shed, though the contents of the shed was badly damaged.
SA Ambulance services treated a farmer on scene for minor burns.
It is believed the fire started by a spontaneous combustion within the haystack and spread quickly to a near by header and spray unit.
Damages are estimated to be $200,000.
Crews expect to be on scene for some time monitoring conditions and mopping up any hot spot.
