$100,000 fire at Bellum Hotel

At 11:10 this morning CFS crews were recalled to what initially was reported to be a false alarm when occupants of the Bellum Hotel confirmed a fire was burning on the premises on the Riddoch Highway, Bellum.

Four CFS crews arrived to find a large amount of smoke coming from the building.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire in one room and above ceiling space.

The cause of the fire at this stage is undetermined, with damages estimated to be $100,000.
