Springton shed fire - 8 June 2026
Five trucks carrying 20 firefighters responded to a Triple Zero call at 8:30pm to attend a shed fire at Cookes Hill Road, Springton, in South Australia’s Eden Valley, approximately 27 kilometres south of Angaston.
Upon arrival the CFS volunteers found a farm shed fully engulfed.
The volunteer firefighters were unable to stop the shed from being destroyed but did prevent the fire spreading to nearby sheds and a home.
Damage to the shed, which stored farm equipment and a vehicle, is valued at an estimated $200,000.
SA Police and SA Ambulance Services attended the scene in support, while Fire Cause have been asked to attend.
CFS firefighters will remain on scene for several more hours to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
