Structure fire at Golden Grove - 26 January 2026

Approximately twelve firefighters, forming a joint response from CFS on three trucks and two MFS trucks responded to a structure fire at a commercial property in Golden Grove, a north-eastern suburb of Adelaide region just before 2pm today.

Equipment failure is believed to be the cause of a fire that started in the commercial premises that activated the properties sprinkler system. The sprinklers allowed time for firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) to enter the premises and extinguish the fire, effectively saving an estimated 10 million dollars worth of surrounding equipment.

Firefighters faced extreme conditions, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in today’s exceptional heat. As such, all were checked by SA Ambulance Service given the conditions faced on site.

Losses to the equipment are estimated at 1.5 million dollars.
