Shed Fire at Lewiston - 6 December 2025

Around 10.30am, approximately 25 CFS volunteers on 5 trucks responded to a shed fire at Lewiston, west of Gawler.

Crews arrived to find a shed containing a mini excavator, ride-on mower, and a number of tools fully involved in fire.

Thankfully, firefighters in breathing apparatus were able to contain the fire to the shed and prevent it from spreading to nearby vehicles and neighbouring property.

The shed and much of its contents were destroyed with damages estimated around $100,000.

Crews will remain on scene this afternoon to mop up and monitor for hot spots and smouldering areas.

SA Police and SA Ambulance attended and provided support to crews. Fire Investigators have been notified.
