Structure fire at Armagh - 20 July 2025
Ten CFS trucks with 40 firefighters have contained a house fire, saving an estimated 80 per cent of the building located in Armagh, north of Adelaide and near Clare.
The fire, which started at approximately 9:00 pm, had impacted one room of the house and was expanding into the roof when crews arrived. Firefighters using breathing apparatus brought the fire under control in approximately 2 hours, stopping it from impacting the rest of the house and limiting the damage to an estimated $500,000.
Residents were not home when the fire started, and no injuries have been reported at this time. Firefighters have extinguished the fire and will remain on scene until the area is deemed safe.
SA Police, SA Ambulance and SA Power Networks were on scene supporting firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, fire investigators will attend in the morning.
