Structure fire at Mypolonga - 26 October 2025

At approximately 8:10 pm, four CFS trucks carrying approximately 18 firefighters attended a structure fire at Rathjen Road, Mypolonga, 18 kilometres north of Murray Bridge in South Australia’s Murraylands.

Upon arrival, volunteers found a caravan and shed fully involved in fire. The caravan was located beneath a lean-to next to the shed, which contained household goods.

Firefighters are using breathing apparatus to support a defensive operational attack on the fire.

Two SA Metropolitan Fire Service trucks and eight firefighters are providing support.

SA Police and SA Power Networks are also on site.

Damage to the shed and caravan, along with accompanying property, is estimated at $60,000, but there are no other property impacts.

Firefighters will remain on scene as they continue to work to contain the fire.

Fire cause have been notified.
