Structure fire at Meadows - 31 January 2026

Around 10pm, around 50 CFS volunteer firefighters on 10 trucks responded to a structure fire at Meadows in the Adelaide Hills.

Crews arrived to find a caravan and shed fully engulfed in fire which had also spread to a house and nearby grass.

Thankfully, two occupants of the house were able to self-evacuate and were assessed by SA Ambulance paramedics.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the grass fire and were able to prevent the fire from spreading further throughout the house.

Unfortunately, the shed and caravan were destroyed with damages in excess of $200,000.

Crews will remain on scene to monitor for hotspots using Thermal Imaging Cameras and ensure any smouldering areas are extinguished.

SA Police also provided support on scene and Fire Investigators have been notified.
