Shed fire at Morgan - 21 July 2025

CFS firefighters on approximately 8 trucks have saved a house in Morgan, a town along the Murray River in South Australia, after the property's shed caught alight.

When the approximately 40 firefighters arrived on the scene just after midnight, the shed was already fully involved with fire spreading to the roof of the nearby house. Crews worked quickly using breathing apparatus equipment to get the fire under control, preventing further damage to the house. The estimated damage amount is $100,000.

Residents were home when the fire started and once alerted to the incident rang Triple Zero. No injuries have been recorded at this time. Firefighters will remain on scene until the area is deemed safe.

SA Police and SA Ambulance were on scene supporting firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, fire investigators will attend in the morning.
