Shed fire at Auburn - 27 October 2025

At 11:00 pm, CFS firefighters responded to a shed fire in Auburn, located 25 km south of Clare.

Twenty-five volunteer firefighters on 5 trucks successfully contained the fire in a 50 m by 25 m shed. 

Thanks to the efforts of the firefighters, farming machinery items were successfully saved, helping to minimise the overall damage.

While the shed itself was not destroyed, it did incur smoke damage, and unfortunately, some of the contents, including a tractor, boom spray, and grain elevator, were lost.

Damage has been estimated at $300,000, and Fire Investigators have been notified.
