Reminder ahead of tomorrow's fire weather - November 21

Tuesday November 21 at 4:30PM:

Over the course of the past few days, the CFS has responded to a large number of fires which have resulted from the use of harvesting equipment or burn offs that have broken control lines.

Total Fire Bans have been declared for tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd November in the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North and Yorke Peninsula Fire Ban Districts.

CFS advises that where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted.

The CFS reminds the farming community to adhere to the harvesting codes of practice, regularly clean and maintain their equipment, and monitor weather conditions In their paddocks.

For those in Total Fire Ban Districts tomorrow, burn offs are not permitted. Landowners outside of these areas are reminded to take additional precautions and ensure they have sufficient water on site as well as a cleared area around the burn. Find out more here.
