Own House Fire 26 June

Just before 1230am  on the 25th of June SA Country Fire Service Firefighters were alerted to reports of a fire in home at Owen, north of Adelaide. On arrival at the South East Terrace home the more than 35 firefighters from seven appliances and one bulk water carrier found the home fully ablaze.

Due to the extent of fire on arrival to the stone constructed home, crews were unable to enter and undertook firefighting operations externally. Firefighters will remain on scene for some time extinguishing the blaze and have reported the home has unfortunately been completely destroyed with initial dollar damage estimate set at $300 000. SA Ambulance and Local SA Police were also on scene. There were no reported injuries in the fire. The cause of the fire has been attributed to an electrical fault.
