Moonta house fire

At 3:56 this morning CFS and MFS crews were alerted to a house fire in Morcombe Road, Moonta, by a 000 caller reporting a vacant home was ablaze.

Three CFS and two MFS crews arrived to find the large building on fire and the roof collapsing.

SA Police and SA Ambulance services supported the 22 firefighters as they worked to contain the fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, though not deemed suspicious, with fire cause investigators attending the scene later today.

Substantial damage was done to the home, with damages estimated to total $80,000.
