House fire in McLaren Vale - 30 July 2025
Shortly after 9:00 am, CFS firefighters were called to a house fire in McLaren Vale, in the state’s Fleurieu Peninsula.
Around 35 firefighters on 7 trucks responded to the house fire, working alongside the Metropolitan Fire Service, SA Police, SA Power Networks, and SA Ambulance Service. Fortunately, no occupants were home at the time.
Our volunteer firefighters' quick response and defensive tactics stopped the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties, preventing further damage.
Crews will remain on site for some time to ensure any remaining smouldering areas are fully extinguished.
The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damages, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
