House fire at Streaky Bay

At 5:07 this morning CFS crews were alerted to a fire in the front of a home on Centenary Road, Streaky Bay.

Five CFS crews, supported by a CFS bulk water carrier, arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.

SA Police and SA Ambulance services supported the 22 firefighters as they worked to contain the fire, and protect a neighbouring home.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, with fire cause investigators attending the scene later today.

Two occupants of the home were able to get out of the property safely, but were treated for smoke inhalation.

The home was completely destroyed by the fire, with damages estimated to be $250,000.
