House fire at Lyndoch - 23 August 2025

Shortly after 3:20 pm, CFS volunteer firefighters responded to a house fire at Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley.

A total of 25 CFS firefighters and 5 trucks, in a joint response with the Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS), worked to contain the fire to the carport and roof area.

Crews will remain on scene for some time, using thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots and extinguish any smouldering areas.

Damage has been estimated at $100,000, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
