House fire at Glencoe - 23 September 2025
Shortly after 7:30 pm, CFS firefighters were called to a house fire at Glencoe, located north-west of Mount Gambier.
Around 25 volunteer firefighters on 8 trucks responded to the fire, working alongside SA Police and SA Power Networks. Fortunately, no occupants were home at the time.
Our volunteer firefighters' quick response and defensive tactics stopped the fire from spreading to a neighbouring property, preventing further damage.
Crews will remain on site for some time to ensure any remaining smouldering areas are fully extinguished.
The fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damages, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
